green & black big hair girls

Tomorrow is December and that means advent calendar for the kid. It's his first one. Last year I made a similar version where I put ideas of what to do every day on paper, cut it up and put it in a bowl for him to take out every day.

This year I bought little bags with numbers and threw in toys and candy bars with some crafty stuff to do. I feel like I'm spoiling him too much with toys. And I know it's my problem because I enjoy seeing a smile on his face when he gets new toys. It's not like he needs them but we're all like that with gifts, aren't we.

We celebrate three different "present-bringing-holiday-men" in our household. First one is St. Nicholas on Dec. 6th. Then Santa Clause on Christmas day and last one is Father Frost on New Year's day. He already chose his presents and wrote to the first two "present-bringers". I haven't told him about the last one yet. But he has a present chosen for that one as well.
