Happy New Year!
Holly crap, people! It's cold here! We finally got snow over the weekend. Where I live we had 40 cm (16") of snowfall in 2 days. Then everything froze because the temperature dropped to -20°C (-4°F).
Mom and I did all the shopping on Monday so we wouldn't have to go to town during this arctic freeze. Of course we had to put chains on tires just to get out of our driveway. Thank goodness we didn't throw away the instructions because putting them on is not as easy as it seems. We put them on wrong the first time and when they came loose some plastic around the tires broke off. Oops!
The dogs though are loving the snow. They go crazy every time I let them out. I haven't made a snowman since childhood but here are some drawn to make up for it. :)Linking to Paint Party Friday.

ReplyDeleteSuch fantastic snowmen! We got snow here too , but less - just 10 cm or so and it's not very cold!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you!
The snow ladies are so adorable! I don't live where snow chains are ever required, but I did live in such a place years ago. Putting them on the tires is a pain, for sure.
ReplyDeleteNow that is proper snow!! We haven't had any up here yet (in fact we haven't really had any proper snow since we moved up here nearly 2 years ago) It is horribly wet and sleety but your winter looks wonderful (Although I suppose you get sick of it after a day or two!) Your snowmen are hilarious - I love the idea of the one in a bikini!)
ReplyDeleteI absolutely adore your snowpeople... They all have such great personalities!
ReplyDelete(I feel your pain about the snow - we had a "Snovember" storm where we got 8 feet (yes, feet!) in just a few days!)
Stay warm & Happy New Year!

fun variety of snowman art Natasha! It has gotten VERY cold here too and fortunately no snow. Stay warm, and a Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteHope you can keep warm! We haven't had any snow this winter…
ReplyDeleteGood to be able to do the snowmen and stay warm (if that's what you like ;-) )
Happy New Year!
What fun snow people! I hope they warm you up! Thanks for making me laugh. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteLucky you having snow and ice, it is all mimsy mild here.
ReplyDeleteI adore your snowmen - after studying them carefully I would choose the smiley witch with her cat and the lady at the end in her purple frock.
Oh that is cold! We are in the 30'sF at night, and it rarely snow where I live, although it is very necessary for the state that it snows in the mountains (we have been in a drought).
ReplyDeleteAnyway, your snowmen are adorable :oD
Happy new year!
Natasha, Happy New Year! Your snowmen are awesome. It's cold here but no where like where you are at. Stay warm.
ReplyDeleteLove your wonderful snowmen! It just started snowing giant flakes here - and the arctic blast is expected during the night!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post!! I love all these fabulous snowmen/women. So cute! I remember learning to drive a standard in the snow when I was 7 months pregnant! This photo brought it all back!! We are suppose to have it tonight in a big storm. We'll see so often they are wrong. We have had -6C all week. On the west coast that makes it cold. Stay safe and Happy New Year!

fun art work!
ReplyDeleteLove the snowmen & snowwomen! Especially the one in a red bikini, oh and the Ninja one! Fabulous! Gorgeous winter photo too. We're usually blanketed with thick snow by this time, but so far, only a few inches on the ground. Cold here too though (in eastern Canada) Happy New Year! xx
ReplyDeleteGood grief, it sounds exactly where I use to live in Central IL. and the reason I am in So. FL. The snow was ALWAYS blowing sideways, the wind was horrendous and made the -25 degrees even lower. Blessings, Janet PPF (Stay warm.)
