For the August a-thon there was a challenge to depict your nationality. And I made this ATC. It's called Mat kurja or Mother Hen because my country Slovenia is in a shape of a chicken/hen and she's wearing our national costume. It's a design someone came up with years back when our country first got the internet and this is on our country's official web page.
I'd like to wish Happy Thanksgiving to all my USA peeps. I know it was yesterday. :) Hope you're not spending too much money today on the sales.
These two cards are one of many that I made in the a-thon challenge a few months ago. I had to illustrate a flag of a foreign country, theme birthday and my age in the first one. The challenge for the second one was steampunk and monochromatic.
Have I told you I have a purple wall in my living room? Yes, I do. And it looks fantastic!
I have one cat that has problems with her eye and I've been giving her drops for over a month and it just won't heal.
And I have one dog that is obviously allergic to something and keeps getting sore spots on her paws.
I still haven't received the photo book I ordered 5 weeks ago that was supposed to only take 2 weeks to make. It has 50 pages of photos of my hubby and me through 15 years we've been together. The company said it will take another week. I'm getting impatient. UPDATE: I got it this morning! Yay!
And I got an early New Year's gift from my family. A new camcorder to film our new family member. :)
There was a Halloween a-thon last week at AFA and here are some cards I made. I know Halloween was last week but I can't save these cards for next year. :) And if I show them to you one by one each week, you'll be sick of Halloween pretty quickly.
The black & white ones were actually on the theme of InkTober. I only found out about it last week, so I couldn't properly give the theme justice. The point is to only use ink a.k.a. pens and similar stuff. I cheated a bit and used black watercolor pencil as well, so the cards weren't as white and shade-less. :)
Even though we don't celebrate this Holiday in my country, I love doing Halloween themed ATCs. I guess the reason why I have so many to show you today is because I didn't do the Halloween Blog Party this year. I posted every day for a week in previous years leading up to Halloween.
