Red lips & blue eyes and a cat

When I need a quick ATC, this is what I do. I find them so pretty and simple. Adding color to lips and eyes makes it not so dull, me thinks. :)

Random thoughts:
  • it's spring but we had snow on Monday?!
  • I'm finally getting back on track with my healthy eating. It just spiraled since the London trip and I couldn't keep away from all the junk food. I actually made myself nauseous from all the sweets I was eating. What am I five??
  • I have trouble finding a good book to read. I read a few pages and decide it's not worth my time so I find another that is just as bad. If anyone has any suggestions for a good read, I like dystopia the most and I already read the Hunger games and the Divergent trilogy.
  • I'm going to the movies to see Divergent tomorrow. Hope it's not a disappointment. It's been a while since I've seen a good movie.
Here's a random pic of one of my cats. Lolita.

Red Riding Hood and random stuff

I have to share another Round Robin card that I just got back. Isn't it amazing! :) I did the Red Riding Hood. Did you know that Little Red Riding Hood was written by a French author Charles Perrault in 1697 based on folktale that was shared only orally prior to that? Grimm brothers rewrote it in the 19th century and also changed the ending.

Random stuff in my life right now:
  • I've been hearing about oil pulling for a while now and I ignored it because I thought it was that thing where you put oil on your face to extract oil and dirt or whatever. But then I finally clicked on the link and read what the fuss is about. So, oil pulling is putting oil in your mouth and swishing it around for 20 minutes and it has reportedly great benefits. So I tried it with coconut oil, why not?! :) I've been doing it for about 2 weeks now. Read HERE to familiarize yourself about it.
  • I've also signed up for 30 days Yoga challenge. I'm taking a class already twice a week but this everyday yoga is awesome. Go HERE to sign up. It's FREE.
  • It is very likely that I will be in Prague, Czech Republic from April, 11th to April, 14th. I really want to go to Teal's synchronization workshop and I'm keeping my fingers crossed all goes well. And since I've never been in Prague, hubby and I will make a mini trip out of it. It's like 6 hours by car from where I live but we will very likely take a train that will take 10-11 hours.
  • Easter is coming soon so here are some ideas how to color your eggs naturally without chemicals. Our tradition is to use onion skins with different grasses and leafs in a stocking.

This mixed media painting is symbolizing “nesting,” paying attention to matters of hearth and home which is even more accentuated by the bird house.

She started as an innocent child like soul and then she transformed into this beautiful young lady that follows her heart and reaches for her dreams. I watched her blossom from a bud to this breathtaking flower that grew past everyone’s expectations. But I knew she was perfect all along.

 Let your heart fly.
Let go of all your insecurities and fears.
Let your heart do what it's meant to do.
To soar as high as it will.
You are the only one that is holding it back.
So open the cage and let your heart take the leap.
Be fearless. Let go.

Goldfish for luck

Linda4atc, NatashaMay, Nicky
I haven't shown you my Round Robin cards in a while. I feel like I should explain every time what they are to jog your memory or if anyone new is reading this, they'll know what I'm talking about.

Ok, so one person starts 3 ATCs (artist trading cards) with one image, the second person adds to all three cards something of theirs and the third person finishes the cards. After that, the last person keeps one card and sends the other two cards to the first two players so each can have one in their collection.

I drew the black fish for this one.

In other news. My dog Karma has allergy apparently and it shows as inflammation on her paw pads. She now has bandage on her foot and has to take some meds. We were scheduled at the vet very early in the morning (8 a.m.) and since I don't function well at that unholy hour (7 a.m.) any more, I managed to break a side mirror on my parents' car while backing out of our garage. Yeah, it wasn't even my car.

It's first week for my Crazy Hair Ladies Class. You can still join us for only 25$. Workshop started on Monday, March 3rd, 2014 but will be open until end of June so you can work at your own pace. Go HERE to get more info and to sign up.
