Tarot journaling

I'm having fun journaling about my tarot cards. I admit it's way easier to just copy/paste in Word document but I'm trying. :)

I distressed the pages first so it's not so daunting staring at a blank page. The drawing is more of a sketch and I just colored the background and some other stuff but not the person.
Look how pretty the cards are. I just wanted to share this for no other reason. :)

Other random stuff:
  • I started doing yoga. I went to a couple of classes years ago when I was in high school but I wasn't that impressed with it. Last year I had an idea to do it at home watching YouTube videos but I got bored really quickly. So now I'm taking a class and hopefully I'll stick with it.
  • I painted my fingernails purple. That's a lot of effort for someone that doesn't do that at all. I mean this stuff stays on like two days and then you have to do it again. That's a lot o work. So I just caked the nail polish on every other day and I now have 10 days worth of nail polish on my fingernails that is flaking off.
  • I ate a donut and got the marmalade all over myself. My hubby managed to get some inside the sleeve of a jacket and didn't tell me about it so when I put the jacket on, my arms were sticking to the sleeves. Not a fun feeling at all.
  • Yes, I wear my hubby's jackets because they're warmer than mine.
  • I found a new TV show to stalk called True Detective.
  • I had a photo-shoot with my crystals the other day and took pictures of all of them. I will probably share them with you on occasion because they're pretty.

New passion

I have a new obsession passion. :) For a month or so I've been fascinated by Tarot and Oracle cards. So much so that I had to get them for myself. But because I have a fear of "missing out" and I couldn't decide with certainty which cards I like best, tarot or oracle, I of course ended up ordering both. And because I have an unhealthy dose of impatience, I ordered another tarot deck while waiting on the first two to arrive.

Now, you have to give me credit and a pat on the back for not ordering the fourth deck just because the mail with first two orders hasn't arrived yet. And it had something to do with the fact that my hubby was treating me to two decks I already ordered as a birthday present.

When I shop, I silently agree with myself when enough is enough. But when someone offers to pay for me then I cannot let that money that was already spent in the first place go to waste. I think most of you would agree with me on that. The only thing stopping me with the 4th deck is that it's a bit more pricey than the others. And I'm trying to convince myself to first give the 3 decks a try to see how it goes and if I even like the whole tarot business.
I don't know what it is with this year but I'm spending money like crazy and I have no steady income. Maybe because I was so good at not spending last year that the lack of it propelled me to indulge this year. For whatever reason, I hope I get a grip on it really soon.

Ok, in other news, I opened an exhibition on the 1st Feb, 2014 and forgot to tell everyone because I was without electricity and stuff. So to all my Slovene pips, you can go over to Rayher on Mala ulica in Ljubljana and take a look and even buy the paintings if you want to. :)
just one wall, there are more on the opposite wall.
Here's a photo of me in front of one wall and the rest is on the opposing wall. It's the section where they sell frames and offer framing for paintings that's why there are frames on the bottom. :)

And to remind everyone, you can enter my GIVEAWAY here for a chance to win a FREE space on my Crazy Hair Ladies March online workshop.

Crazy Hair Ladies Workshop GIVEAWAY and some books
Hi everyone! We had ice "issues" in my country that broke a lot o trees and power poles and we were without electricity for 10 days. Check THIS out to see how it looked like. Yes, it sucked big time but I caught up on my reading. :) From actual physical books since my Kindle was not charged.

Have you read The Alchemistby Paulo Coelho? And if not, why not? I had that book sitting on my shelf a long time untouched and I can't believe what I was missing. I'm so glad I've read it and what amazes me even more is that it was written in 1988. This book is actually about our journey through life and following our destiny more than anything.

I continued with Veronika Decides to Diesince it's located in my home town Ljubljana but it's a different kind of book even if the author is the same and I couldn't get through it.

And to continue with this topic I finally read Eat, Pray, Love. I saw the movie and I wasn't really impressed by it so I wasn't keen on reading the book either. But I had no choice now since I was bored out of my mind. :) Again, I'm glad I read it. It's different than what movie led me to believe. The romance part is very subtle and it's more about the author's spiritual journey.

The sequel Committed: A Love Storyby Elizabeth Gilbert is not really to my taste and I was struggling to read it when I finally gave up on it. It was too much research data in there.

Another book I avoided for a while was The Fault in Our Starsby John Green. I really didn't want to read a sad cancer story but again the book surprised me. I mean, I still cried my eyes out but the story was really good and the writing style was really good although I went into reading it with a little prejudice since I know John Green from his YouTube channel and I wasn't really sure if he's any good at writing. Let me tell you, he is.

Of course I also finished the The Hunger Games Trilogyand loved it. I loved the movies as well and I can't wait for the third one to come out.

But enough about the books. I'm opening my Crazy Hair Ladies Class for the 2nd time for everyone that missed it the first time and I'm having a GIVEAWAY for one FREE spot on the March class. Class costs only 25$. Click HERE to get more information about the class.

$50 Amazon Gift Card or Paypal Cash for Muse Unexpected by V.C. Birlidis

Muse UnexpectedMuse Unexpected

"We're Muses. Not vampires, not fairies, not werewolves. We're Muses." Sophie was sure her mother had reached an epic level of crazy. ‘We're Muses?' She thought Muses were lame, not to mention she found the idea ridiculous. However, Sophie couldn't explain away her physical transformation that made Anne Hathaway in The Princess Diaries look like a bad Walmart make-over, not to mention why her mood swings triggered an uncontrollable ability to shoot powerful bursts of energy out of her hands.

Sophie soon realizes modern day Muses have evolved into powerful guardians of humankind, tasked with keeping mortals on the right path and the original Olympians locked away from the world. But old hatreds don't die easily, especially for immortal enemies that have an eternity to plot and gather their forces. Well aware of the Fates' foretelling of another Olympian war, and a young Muse that would rise up as a warrior and defeat them, the Olympians have vowed to either possess Sophie or destroy her. Either way, they will make sure everyone associated with their imprisonment will reap an eternal damnation in the Underworld, leaving the Olympians to restore Mount Olympus and force humankind into a future of never-ending servitude and misery.

Praise for Muse Unexpected

"Ripe with conflict, skin-crawling creepy that is sprinkled with a wonderful sense of humor and a plot fraught with horrific danger in every step taken by Sophie, this book should be on the top of everyone's must read list. Simply put, I loved it and can't wait for book 2 to come out." ~Olive (Amazon Review)

"I remember learning about mythology & Greek gods in elementary school....boring! Well, this fantastic book takes everything you thought about gods/mythology and turns it on it's ear, sort of like "Wicked" did to the "Wizard of OZ". At times funny at times gruesome and scary, this story definitely kept my interest. I loved the way the writer made the gods "human". I also liked the subtle, blink and you'll miss them hints sprinkled throughout the story. Don't let the young adult genre scare you away. This is an engaging story that can be enjoyed by all. Can't wait for the next one!!!!" ~Paula (Amazon Review)
