New products at Society6, Digital Girl and some Random Stuff

I worked on this girl for far too long. I love doing faces but everything else is a torture. You can see the body was done at a later time because the color doesn't match the face. :) The face was all done and I couldn't find the beginning color that's why all the shading on the body has a different shade / hue / tone.

I finally managed to do her hair yesterday so here she is. As you can see it's still tricky for me to do but it will have to do for now.

Random stuff:
  • I'm going to the movies today to see The Host
  • I'm loving the City of Bones trailer A LOT - I read the books but I don't remember anything apart that I liked them :)

  • I managed to hurt two of my fingers on my left hand in two days - apparently I needed to bleed a little more as if once a month isn't enough :))
  • I hate it when I reply to someone and I don't get a reply back - I always wonder if my e-mail got thrown in spam and then I have a dilemma, should I contact them again and risk being pushy because they're still thinking about the answer or stay put and risk being thought of as rude or disinterested for not replying to them (in case the reply got in the spam)
  • then again, why aren't you checking your spam folders people??
And now some news. I opened a shop at Society6.  < -- CLICK to take you there.

It's a place where you upload your artwork and they do everything else for you like printing on the products, packaging and shipping. How sweet is that? You get a little money from it but it's better than nothing, right?!

Just some examples because I'm so excited about these products.:) Click on the links below photos to take you there directly.
T-shirts - different colors
Throw pillows
iPhone&iPod skins
laptop and iPad skins
Stationery Cards
Tote bag

There are also stretched canvases, Hoodies, (framed) art prints and iPhone cases.

Linking to Paint Party Friday.

  1. Hi NatashaMay! I am so happy to be out blog hopping and visiting all my favorite blogs again, like YOU!!!! I love the girl. She looks so good to me and I cannot see anything wrong with her at all. As for e-mails, if it's been a couple days I would follow-up especially if they normally e-mail right back. I have a couple e-mail buddies that we take a long time to respond because we're busy but we know that so it's not a big deal.

Congratulations on the Society6 store. I clicked over to your store but the pictures wouldn't com up for me there or on this blog post. I use Google Chrome, could that be the problem?

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  17. Your girl is great - and really if you think about it - the face colors are different from the body color tones so you actually look quite brilliant in your approach. Your artwork translates to Society 6 really well. The cell cover, ipad cover and the cards are may favs. I get caught up with that no answer thing too - just send another that says something like.. I wasn't sure you got this.. I've been having trouble with my emails getting through - :)

  22. Natasha May, I love the girl lying there reading. Fabulous shading, I think. Love her beautiful face. As for spam filters, all emails must not be alike. I have apple mail, the webmail, and a yahoo mail account. Some of the spam I can check on, but some of those automatically make it disappear without my having a peek. Mysterious. I had to call someone today that I had emailed before Easter asking if they wanted to come over and do crafts. I felt like you. Did they get the email? Did they just not want to come? It turns out they did not get the email. Period. I don't know where it went.

  23. LOVE LOVE LOVE this post, your girl, your art on on those products!! Wow....and my bad I did not answer your question about my purple kitchen,....it's apple green now!! I get bogged down with email. As it is I spend way too much time on this computer..

I love all the new products and I'm sure you'll sell things off here...so adorable seeing your art on products...wow...impressive.

I didn't notice your digital girls color differences....did you know you can take the eye dropper and move it over a color to get the matching color? Good luck on selling some art!! Very excited for you!!

    Hugs Giggles

  28. I love digital girl. I don't think face and body tones are exactly the same anyway - at least mine aren't (by that I mean my actual face and body - LOL). I didn't really see much of a difference. She is really sweet. HPPF
