# 31 Halloween Party is today!

This is my costume for today's PARTY!
ZMM
Zombie Marilyn Monroe
Did you guess?

If you were the first one to guess I got an ATC for you, if not, you have another chance today. All participants will be eligible to win one of my ATC's. Either THIS one or THIS one. Let it be a surprise for you or you can tell me which one you like better in the comments. :) You have time until Sunday the 4th November to enter the linky party. I will announce the winner on Monday.

Make sure you visit everybody to see what costume they're wearing and if there's any candy left for ya. :) If they're already drunk, make fun of them. Yes! I allow you to make fun of them. :) But remember!

I guess these are the last questions I'm answering for this month of Blogtoberfest. It was so much fun and thank you everyone for putting up with my daily posts and nagging you for questions. :)

Cameron asked me: When you close your eyes and think of a relaxing, beautiful place....what do you think of?
A sunny meadow full of wildflowers.

What does magic mean to you?
I don't believe in spells and potions but I do believe there are people that have extraordinary gifts that might come across as magic. Wouldn't mind having some myself.

What would be your biggest regret?
Not living up to my potential. Looking back and think, "Wish I had the guts to do that."

What's your favorite sweet treat?
It used to be cake but I haven't had any since I've been eating gluten free, so it's candy now.

Magic Love Crow asked me: Since it's almost Halloween, have you ever been visited by a ghost?
No, I haven't been visited by a ghost. At least I don't think so. Any kind of noise I always contribute to my pets so if anyone was trying to get through to me I've been ignoring them for a long time. :))

# 30 and Only one day to Halloween

I'm predicting a mighty fine Halloween Party tomorrow. :)
Are you coming?
What Halloween costume will you be wearing?
I will be ZMM.
If you guess what that means I'll give you something.
I'm not kidding. I'll mail you an ATC probably.
You have time until I post my ZMM tomorrow. :)
First one who guesses right will win.

I found this great challenge at Artsyville last week and I decided I want to play. So, this week the list is about quick fixes. Stuff you know you need to do (and could do in a flash), but for whatever reason, it remains undone.
  • vacuuming - it fixes the look of the house so it counts :)
  • getting my hair cut - it's in that growing out stage where you can't do anything to make it look decent
  • my little pooch getting a haircut - I'm starting to find sticks and leaves in her fur
  • getting new headphones - the foam fell off and it's hurting my ears
  • working on my workshop
Here are some of the last questions I'm answering this month for Blogtoberfest.

Donna, Doni, Lady D asked me: How did you meet your Husband. What were your first impressions.
I met him through a friend of mine and we were at her place having a little get together. I thought he was cute and had an interesting name that is not common in our country. But nothing happened then. We met again at a New Year's party and nothing happened then either. It was some months after that when we met in a club that he showed any interest in me.

How long did it take you to know 'he was the one'.
Well, he was and still is very persistent. We went through some tough times and he wouldn't leave when I told him to, so after 10 years we said what the hell, let's get married. :)) Very romantic, right? I'm sorry to say there was no special moment. It usually isn't.

What attributes do you look for in a partner.
Trust, respect and making me laugh.

Now grab my Creepy Raggedy Ann and post her on your blog letting everyone know you're coming to my party. Tomorrow you can link your scary Halloween stuff. :)

# 29 and 2 days till Halloween

Most of the ATC's I've been showing you have been made for a particular swap. These three were my idea for a swap. Tim Burton Style Fairy Tales Characters.

So which Fairytale characters would you Burtonize? Burtonify? Ok, I'm just making up words now. :) But you get it, right?

Kat @ I Saw You Dancing asked me: who would you invite to your dream dinner party (guests can be among the living or departed!) and what would you serve?

I don't know! I'm not really into dinning and I don't like cooking. :) I guess Oprah and Brad Pitt. Oh, wait! Teal Scott, too. I would have to hire a caterer cause I don't know what rich people eat. :)) It would probably be vegan though.

Gina asked me: Will you be dressing up as a Zombie for your party?...
Come back on the 31st and you'll have your answer. :)

Do you believe in supernatural beings? If so, which is your creature of choice?
Not really, only angels but not the winged kind and maybe ghosts. I don't know what I would do if I came face to face with any supernatural being. As much as it's exciting, I would probably piss my pants and faint. But it would be cool to meet a friendly vampire.

Has anyone asked you what your favourite colour is yet?
Yes. But I'll say it again. It's purple.

Have you ever attended a seance???
No. I don't think I would dare. No telling the ghosts coming through are friendly. It's awesome to watch this stuff on TV but not in real life. :))

We're having a Halloween Party here on my blog on 31st October. Blog about something halloweeny and link it in Mr. Linky that will be ready for you on that day. I'll randomly choose a winner among the participants. You'll get one of my ATC's. Ok? Don't know which one yet.

Linking to Illustration Friday.

Grab the pretty stitched up lady, if you want, and put her on your blog letting people know about the party. :)

# 28 and 3 days till Halloween

Today, I want to talk to you about something. I know we all have those days when we don't know what to blog about. Hell, I have them most of the time actually. So, what do you do?

I hear so many people say, just blog what you're passionate about. And I agree. And I get it. But . . .

What if you don't feel passionate about anything? You just don't blog then until you do?

I'm sorry but I'm just a normal, well that can mean different things to people so let's say, average, but I don't think I fall into that category either, so let's go with regular, ok? I'm your regular woman. I haven't felt passion in true sense of the word in a long time but I do have interests.

So, my interest would be my pets, since I don't have kids. And I wrote a blog post about them. Now what? I can't write about them all the time, they are not that interesting.

My other interest is art. And I don't have trouble coming up with art to show you most of the time but I can't really talk about it passionately each time. From time to time I have enlightening moments which I of course share with you but I'm really not that wise to come up with meaningful posts full of advice each time.

Let's see. I also love reading. Do you want me to talk about books here? I don't know if I have that much to say about it. I mean, even my reviews are a couple of sentences long, I can't imagine coming up with posts all the time. And let's face it. I have periods of time where I enjoy reading then I can stop for months. What then?

And I already mentioned I love to travel but haven't been out of the country since 2010 so there's nothing to tell.

I'm working on my new online workshop that might interest some of you. But the reality is that I started it about a month ago and then nothing happened. I'm slacking off. I can't bring myself to do anything. And it's very likely it won't be ready for next month. Which is really hard for me to say because I have this thing about keeping my word. You know, doing what I said I'll do. I'm sorry.

What else am I interested in? I really can't come up with anything else right now. So, my question is, What now? I'm not suppose to blog because I don't feel passionate about anything?

No! I give you freaking random lists. Ok?!
  • I'm sharing these zombiefied cartoons because I have nothing else to offer. Come back in November for more pleasurable eye candy.
  • I'm having a Halloween party here on my blog on the 31th. Make sure you come and wear the scariest costume possible. I'll even bribe you with a giveaway.
  • Put Raggedy Ann below on your blog to let everyone know when and where to come to party.
  • Leave questions for me in the comments. Otherwise you get a post like today's. :)
  • I'm still Blogtoberfest-ing because it's still October.

# 27 and 4 days till Halloween

 If you were a Witch,
what spell would you be famous for?

Mine would be the happy spell. :) It might sound lame to you but wouldn't it be nice to have happy people around you that make you happy? No drama, no bitchiness, no grumpiness.

And this is how I would look. Long red magical hair and big boobs. :))
Will you come to my party?

It’s on 31st October and all you have to do is link your Halloween post to a Mr. Linky on my blog and the fun will begin. You bring food and booze, I'll bring a gift. :)

I decided to take on Fall Fearless and Fly - Second Challenge. It has 3 prompts:

Headline Prompt: Taking a Chance: When did you take a chance or a leap of faith? How did it turn out? What did you learn?
I guess I'll be repeating myself but never mind. :) My leap of faith was my online workshop. It was scary to put myself out there to be judged as a teacher and as an artist. But I loved it! It was a totally fantastic experience and I learned that I can figure out pretty much anything I want. I had to do so much research for it and find solutions and jump over obstacles that it gave me confidence to tackle anything. :)

I also took a chance with these witches, too. I was asked to do a personal trade and I was freaking out a little cause I didn't know if they like a cute little witch or one of those ugly witches with crooked noses and warts.

Color Prompt: What color do you like least? Use it!
I like all colors. I tend to use more reds, pinks, blues, purples, greens and black. But I use yellow and brown as well. Oh wait! Orange. I don't use orange all that much. Well, I flunk this part. :)) Well, that phthalo turquois is not one of my faves to use.  It kind of worked on this second witch but usually I don't know what to do with it.

Quote Prompt: "Don't refuse to go on an occasional wild goose chase -- that's what wild geese are for." Anonymous
I wish I was more adventurous. I am one of those people that think about the consequences in an instant and then does the right thing like a good little girl. So a wild goose chase wouldn't be possible for me because I'm too analytical and I would tell you you're being stupid. But I would go along with it anyway just so I could tell you, "I told you so", in the end. :))

If you like the redhead below, go ahead and put her on your blog. :)

# 26 and 5 days till Halloween

 Zombiefied Wonderland!

Here's the thing with Zombies. They are fine in scary movies but in a love story, not so much.

As much as some try to romanticize them, I cannot get over the fact that something might fall off of them when they're making out. Can you imagine having a piece of tongue stuck between your teeth?

And they might as well be your dream person but you cannot tell me the odor doesn't bother you. I mean, they are rotting flesh. You cannot tell me they smell of nutmeg and cinnamon, ok?

So tell me. If you could choose your dream man, what would it be? Zombie, vampire or shape-shifter?

If you're wondering what this Halloween Countdown is all about, we're having a PARTY here on my blog on Halloween.:) Just post something halloweenish and link it here on Wednesday 31st October.

Grab the creepy redhead and post her on your blog. Just for fun. And because you're super cool! :)

# 25 Halloween Countdown begins today

Welcome to our 2nd Annual Halloween Countdown. :))

This is what will happen.

We’re having a linky party here on my blog on Halloween. There really is nothing to it. Just post something halloweenish and link it here on Wednesday 31st October. Easy peasy! :) I'll have Mr linky ready and a giveaway for everyone participating.

In the meantime, I'm counting down the last 7 days until Halloween. I thought I'd start with haunted houses just like last year. If you have any haunted houses stories, please share. :)
And because I love last years Halloween Party Button so much I'm keeping it for this year as well. :) Feel free to spread the love around. Thanks! :)

If you haven't noticed by now I'm answering your questions this October for Blogtoberfest. If you were wondering about anything, this is the time to ask. Let me know in the comments.:)

denthe asked me: What is your favourite morning routine?
Get up, pee, brush my teeth, get dressed, feed pets, make me a smoothie, check e-mail, . . . . Don't know which one is my fave but they're all necessary. :)
What do you do when you're stressed out?
Eat.
What do you like most about yourself?
Caring for animals.
What do you like most about your partner?
He makes me laugh.
Do all your dogs and cats live inside the house?
They sleep inside but they have access to outside during the day.
What is your earliest childhood-memory?
Hiding under a blanket on the beach because my mom told me a gipsy lady is going to take me away if I misbehave. Apparently I went for a walk by myself prior to that and they couldn't find me. I was 2 years old.
When and why did you start painting?
 I talked about it HERE.

# 24 Lucky me

Today's post is long overdue. I've been meaning to properly thank everyone whose giveaways I have won and art we've swapped for a long time. Time has finally come. :) Hope I included everyone, if not forgive me. I should have taken photos as the mail arrived but I didn't. Don't shoot me. :)
First one is Amy. I have swapped art and stamp with her and won her painting. Oh, and she sent me this little sketchbook that I forgot to take a photo of and she included this awesome greeting card, too. Thanks Amy! She's nuts, go see her blog! :)
Cameron is so sweet! I have swapped ATC's and mermaid art with her. She always includes these crazy sweet things like greeting cards, postcards and stickers with her parcels. I know! I love her! Thanks Cam! :)
I have also won an ATC from Stacy at Magic Love Crow and she also included extra little things like a greeting card and print aceo. Thanks Stacy! I love her little crows. :)
I have won the Purple moon from Kristin and the Green girl from Oddball. I am so lucky, aren't I?! The Girl with wings I swapped with Micki Wilde. I love this stuff so much I still have them all in protective sleeves waiting to be framed and properly displayed. :) Thanks ladies!
Oh, I won a book from Esther and she sent this lovely handmade greeting card along with it. I intend to frame it as well cause it's a little piece of art of its own. :) Thank you!
Ok, I'm trying my best to remember but I'm only human. I'm really sorry. :) So, the Thank you painting is from Connie when I won her Strathmore journal. I forgot to take a picture of it but I've torn her art out to save it properly. :) Terrie sent me the postcards but I forgot what we were doing there. We might have had a postcard swap. I'm sorry I can't remember but I love what I got. :) The yellow painting someone was giving away on her blog. She didn't like it so much and I loved it. :) It's not signed and I can't remember who it was. If you're reading this, please let me know so I can link back to you. Thank you all for wonderful art!
Manon sent me her prints and extra tidbits when I won her giveaway also Elizabeth when I won her lovely print. Darcy sent me her beautiful artwork as greeting cards along with the pencils and an eraser thingy that I won as a participant in her Postcard challenge. I forgot to take a pic of the eraser thingy. Sorry! I'll be framing all of that you know. :) Not the pencils. :)) The little canvas in the corner is from Kirstin and I have it displayed on a little easel on my desk. Thanks so much to you all for making my day with your generous gifts. :)
I won an ATC from Rachelle Panagarry and I swapped the Redhead girl with Jenny. Have I mentioned I love ATC's? :)) These are atc's that I've swapped through the blog or won. I have around 400 of them that I swapped through ATCs For All forum. And I got Snail mail from another Kristin. :) How awesome is that?! I love it all! Thanks so much! I feel very lucky. :)

I'm linking to Blogtoberfest and if you have any questions for me to answer, leave it in the comments and I'll get to it. :)

# 23 A dog's life

soulbrush asked me: is there a particular artist who stimulates you more than any other?

It varies. At the moment Flora Bowley and Tracy Verdugo are my favorites. Mark Ryden sometimes and Leilani Joy as well. I'm much more intrigued by a painting itself than a particular artist though.

Giggles asked me: Other than travel, if money were no object what would you do right now?

Move somewhere warmer, buy a house at the beach and enjoy life. Very likely painting, writing a book and doing Yoga or Pilates. Also I would go on these fabulous art retreats I keep hearing about and drooling over. :)

Coleen asked me: where you live and how do you like it? Have you always lived there? Having seen other parts of the world is there somewhere else you'd like to live someday? What keeps you where you are?

I live in Slovenia in a country shaped like a chicken. :) I've always lived in this country but I've moved twice in my life. I was born and raised in capital city of Ljubljana but moved out of the city some 30 km away a couple of years ago. I love my country. We have ocean, mountains, Karst caves, lakes and lots of green pastures and forests. You can drive across country in 2 hours literally. :) We're that small. :) What keeps me here? My family and pets. :)) If I wanted to move abroad, I'd have to spend a small fortune to bring my pets along and if they needed quarantine, it would kill me to leave them.

Since I have no more questions to answer, here is my random list. :)
  1.  I had to cut my mom's dog's hair around the butt because he had diarrhea and shit was stuck in his fur. Ha! You weren't expecting that one, did you? :)
  2. He's not a Pug. He's Karst Shepherd.
  3. Oh! I just remembered I made a website for him like eons ago. Look! This is us when I was taking him to dog shows. We don't do that anymore. :)
  4. Have you read Byron Katie's book Loving What Is? You should.
  5. I need more questions to answer so don't be shy. Ask me anything you like. :) It can be a silly, entertaining question or a serious one. It doesn't matter.

# 22 Places I've been

On Friday I mentioned how much I love to travel and below is the question that followed.

Gloria asked me: How great that you travel. Let us know sometime the places you've been to.

There is no other way to do this than to list them. :)
  • Australia
  • Austria
  • Belgium
  • Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Croatia
  • Egypt
  • France
  • Germany
  • Greece
  • Hungary
  • Italy
  • Luxemburg
  • Monaco
  • Monte Negro
  • Poland
  • Serbia
  • Seychelles
  • Spain
  • The Netherlands
  • Tunisia
  • Turkey
  • Vatican
missy k asked me: Where is on your travel wish list I wonder?

I imagine there is a word missing in this sentence. :) Any place that I haven't visited yet is on my wish list. My dream has always been going on safari in Kenya but it keeps eluding me. :) I also wouldn't mind going to Cuba or Thailand or Japan. Well, pretty much everywhere. I was talking to my hubby while I was doing this list and we agreed that our next destination will be Morocco. Any sponsors out there? :))

soulbrush asked me:  have you ever been to London?

No. But want to go. If nothing more, over the weekend would be fine with me. :)

P.S. Donna, Doni, Lady D just asked me below:  Are you able to get reasonably priced weekend trips to London?

Yes. Plane tickets can be ridiculously cheap but staying overnight can be a bit pricey.

I'm linking to Blogtoberfest. If you have a question for me, I'll be delighted to answer it for you. :) Leave it in the comments.

# 21 My pets

MeinLilaPark asked me: I would be really pleased to hear something about your cuties. Is there a funny habit you can tell? Or even a funny story?

Well, I talked a little something about them already. Go HERE to read.
My first dog was a rottweiler bitch named Kana. She died a couple of years ago from kidney failure. When she was a year old I figured we'd get some cats. Well, actually I just wanted one but I ended up with two. :) They are girls named Roadie and Murphy and are almost 12 years old.
Murphy is the only one of my pets that ever had a litter. She ran away for 3 days when in heat before I got her spayed. Roadie's quirk is that she opens door. She just jumps on the door handle and opens it so we learned to lock the doors. She is also the Alpha Cat. :)
Charlie came to us 3 years later. He is deaf and was returned to a friend of mine when I was visiting her. He was so adorable that I brought him home. I refer to him as my gangsta cat because he's a destroyer. He chewed through so many electrical cables I stopped counting. He could also open the kitchen cabinets and push out the whole set of plates so he could take a nap in there. :) The plates did not survive. He also didn't manage to learn to do his business in the litter box so I'm always cleaning up after him. Luckily he usually does it in the bathroom so it's easier to clean.
Bolha came a couple of months after Charlie. Bolha means Flea in Slovene. I found her while I was walking my dog and almost stepped on her. She is an offspring of some stray cats my neighbor fed around the building we were leaving at. She was so small and had infected eyes so I took her home to nurse her to health and then put her up for adoption. That never happened. :) She is the one cat that loves dogs but despises other cats and humans.
Three years after that I found Lolita - Lola while we were catching feral cats for spay and neuter. I chased her down in an old abandoned locomotive. I just fell in love with her. She is second in command and is starting to challenge the alpha Roadie. :)
Ajda and Gizmo are brother and sister. They were in foster care and I was supposed to babysit them over the weekend but they were sick and I agreed to keep them with me while I nurse them to health. Well, nobody was adopting and after 3 months I couldn't give them away anymore so they stayed.

I stopped fostering cats after that. :)
Kika is the small pooch I adopted when she was 2 and a half years old. And Karma I got after my Kana died. She was adopted from a local shelter at the age of 8 months. And she also opens doors for herself just like the cat Roadie. :)

If you noticed, all my dog's names start with the letter K. It happened as an accident when my mom got a dog and his pedigree name was Kato. I already had my Kana. So when I got my second dog, I decided to keep the letter and name her Kika, her original name was Pika. Karma didn't really have a name to start with so my hubby and I came up with Karma cause she was destined for us.:)

I'm blogging every day in October for Blogtoberfest and I need something to write about. :) Ask me anything you like.
