Last week's lesson in Life Book class was held by Juliette Crane and she showed us how to paint her famous whimsical owl and its friends. :)
I took two quizzes about my totem animal and it came out a wolf both times. It's a surprise to me as I prefer cats over dogs even though I have both. :) I did a wolf and I had to do the famous owl as well.
Summer of Color 's ice cream flavor for this week is Baseball Nut. Say WHAT?? Yeah, if it wasn't for the ice cream photo, I'd have no idea what colors to use. :)) It's Vanilla and Black Raspberry and some nuts.
This one is inspired by Mystele's lesson in Life Book class. Ok, random stuff:
I'm reading Fifty Shades of Grey. Have you read it? :)
Soccer bores me.
I don't get the mail. How come one parcel can arrive over the ocean in 3 days and the other is in its 3rd week of traveling? And I mailed it to the same freaking country.
I'm taking a class on Chakras and meditation. I'm really enjoying it. And I'm really intrigued by Theta Healing and hopefully I'll get to go to one of the seminars real soon. :)
The quote says: "We are travelers on a cosmic journey, stardust, swirling and dancing in the eddies and whirlpools of infinity. Life is eternal. We have stopped for a moment to encounter each other, to meet, to love, to share. This is a precious moment. It is a little parenthesis in eternity."
~ Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
Quote says: "I'm not confused. I'm just well mixed." ~ Robert Frost
This is another journal page that I have made for RAK (random act of kindness). Oh, and do you see the washi tape on the left and right? I caved in and bought a pack of 3 to try out. I like them so far. I haven't tried painting over them yet. I'm curious to see, if the glue sticks or will the tape fall off. But they are pricey. :)
There's this art retreat in England in September and it's really tempting. :) I'm just putting this out there in case the Universe is asking itself, if I want to go. My answer is yes. :))
Birds are freaking hard to draw or paint. And since The Butterfly Effect has a theme of birds for this week, I thought a bird in a hat would be just perfect.:) And you need to check out Amy's tutorial so click away over there.
Let's do the random cause it's been a while. :)
I know you're dying to hear what happened with my money and web hosting. :) Well, I got it back. They didn't complicate one bit which is always a pleasure. :)
I found that I much more enjoy making art for other people than myself. Weird, eh? It gives me motivation and inspiration knowing that somebody else is going to receive it. That's why I'm doing these journal pages as RAK's actually. They are not even swaps although some of them do make a page in return.
RAK means Random Act of Kindness
My Cotton Candy Girls class is finished. :) I really loved this endeavor and I can't wait to do it again. I had the bestest and nicest of people in my class and they really made this whole experience amazing.:)
I know bestest is not a word but it should be cause it's cute. :)
Waving hi to all my blog followers. :) I see my numbers increasing but I'm sorry Google friend connect is not displaying your blog, so I can't check it out. But if you leave a comment on my post and you have a link to your blog in your profile, I respond almost always. :)
The Summer of Color 2 has begun. :) I had so much fun last year and I fell in love with ATC's doing this challenge, so i decided to join again.
This year, Kristin is using ice cream flavors as an inspiration and this week's color combination is Rainbow Sherbet.
This page in my art journal was a riot to make. Although it ripped at the bottom as you can see, I didn't let that stop me. It's inspired by last week's lesson by Tam in Life Book class. Don't they look like a bunch of characters from a comic book? :))
This is definitely something to do when you're bored and have no idea what to paint or draw. :)
He is putting together a DVD on how to draw Fairies, fairyland and all that goes with it from flowers to animal friends. :) And he's doing it with all sorts of different media from watercolors to acrylics, etc. with loads of PDF's and videos to demonstrate.
And he knows his Fairies cause he's Jay The Viking. I'm not kidding. :) Vikings and Fairies go hand in hand.
So, as a thank you for helping him promote his DVD, he is going to choose one of us from his comments on this post as a cover model.
All you have to do is pimp his DVD and tell him what kind of Fairy you would like to be. :) How awesome is that?? You can be portrayed as a fairy on his DVD and you can brag about it to your grandchildren. :) Well, I'll probably do it on my blog and FB as well. :) And twitter. Why pass up a chance like that? :))
Don't be mad at me but I totally forgot I was supposed to get your postcard. I'm currently in Thailand and time is just flying by.
I'm visiting Buddhist temples which is almost a chore because there is so many of them. Taxis here are so colorful and fun, I keep hailing them just to enjoy the ride. :) And you won't believe it but you can go to jail if you go commando. I triple check if my panties are on before I live the wagon.

Remember a couple of days ago when I said I'm thankful my life is drama free? Weeell . . . I should have kept quiet. :)
First I had to deal with some intellectual property issues that drained me emotionally and then I got a notification from PayPal that I have paid web-hosting for Justhost.
But as you might recall a couple of days ago I wrote a whole blog post about me not wanting to. And somehow auto renew was reactivated even though I have canceled the billing and they took my money from my PayPal account. Now I'm waiting for their reply because I want my freaking money back.
