I have an exciting giveaway for you today. :) I've been approached a couple of weeks ago to review this digital scrap booking software by My Memories . And because they are so awesome, they offered the entire My Memories Suite V3 download for FREE for one lucky giveaway winner. :)
This is their original blurb:
"With over 1,500 papers, over 1,000 page elements, and over 30 album templates (including 10 new for v3), MyMemories Suite lets you hit the ground running with your very own scrapbook or photo album in a matter of minutes. It’s easy-to-use and affordable—and compatible with both Windows and Mac computers. "
"All you need is trust and a little pixie dust." ~ Peter Pan
You all know I'm no scrapbooker, so I made this journal page instead. I printed out their background paper and used it as "paint" for the entire painting except the face. It has 6 main designs (checks, decorative, dots, houndstooth, plaids and stripes) with various design sizes and multitude of colors making together over 1.500 papers.
And I really liked their textures. There are burlap, corrugated and stone textures that come in 6 different colors. There are so many embellishments I can't even begin to name them all but among buttons, brads, flowers, knots, ribbons, stitching and so on, my fave are Scroll Flourishes as you can see I used them for the hair.
And because you're all so fab, I have a 10$ discount code for My Memories Suite V3 for you to use at the checkout: STMMMS50712 in case you don't win. :)
Now for the giveaway rules:
- Just leave a comment. If you want, you can visit their site www.MyMemories.com then come back here and let me know in the comments what is your favorite digital paper pack or layout from their shop for an extra entry
- Make sure there is a way to contact you in case you win
- The winner will be chosen randomly a week from now on Friday, 24th August, 2012

ReplyDeleteI really like this painting although if you hadn't told us you'd created the patterns with this software I would've just thought you drew it yourself! I'm torn about the whole digital art thing as part of me thinks its cheating and part of me is intrigued to find out more about it. I still think there's nothing to beat creating something you did yourself by hand though (call me old fashioned!)
ReplyDeleteI love her hair - she looks very musical!
ReplyDeleteThat is clever use of the software, I love the cute little trees in the background!! And the textures are cool. :) How exciting to be approached!!
ReplyDeleteagree with Pointy Pix in part. I would love to know how to do this though for all the boxes of photos I have ( not including the 1000's I have on computer) that I have good intentions of scrapbooking but don't get it done! as always your girl is awesome!
ReplyDeletecheers, dana
Love this Gal!! I would never had known the scrolls in her hair were not painted. Not sure how you did that! LOL I have done some digital work before going to sloppy painting. I like both
ReplyDeleteI would never have thought of using the kit for a journal page. It works extremely well. Food for thought.
