Magic Girls

Hello cupcakes! :)
I have random stuff for you today.
  • First off, I need to tell you that I woke up Tuesday morning with vertigo and have been dizzy ever since. I got some pills from my doctor to help with this vertigo and guess what the side effects are. Go ahead, guess! It's vertigo. Go figure!:) I'm better now, although still dizzy I can at least sit and walk around without getting nauseated. The first two days all I did was lie on my couch.
  • I sold Pure Love! Thank you! :)) Pure Bliss is still available along with others. :)
  • I'm on an ATC trading frenzy. :) I made 37 cards in a single week. And I have many more to draw but this vertigo thing set me back for a couple of days.
  • Also, did you hear about Cameron's Mermaid swap? You send her a mermaid between August 27th to September 21st 2012 and she'll send you one back. She's an awesome artist so you should check her out. :)
  • The three ATC's above are Magic Girls. I had to Google them but you might know of them. I'm really not into these Japanese characters and games. It's like I'm in a different world when people start naming them. :))

Ok, now the winner of My Memories Giveaway is
Carol.
CONGRATULATIONS!
I chose randomly but I'm too dizzy to give you photo proof. :) Get in touch with me and I'll let you know how to go about downloading the software.

And because you're all so fab, I have a 10$ discount code for My Memories Suite V3 for you to use at the checkout: STMMMS50712 in case you didn't win. :)

Linking to Paint Party Friday.

P.S. I just spent 5 minutes typing the freaking word verification and I still couldn't get it right. I'm pissed off right now! :)) So, if I didn't return the comment, it's because of your captcha. Please give my dizzy head a rest and turn it off. Thank you! :))

  2. Oh Natasha. I've had that a couple of times. I think it's called Labyrinthitis (inner ear infection). It's really horrible. Doctor gave me some tablets that helped with the nausea.

You're still making great art though!

  3. Would your vertigo have something to do with painting 37 of these beauties in one week? Congratulations on your sale....woo hoo. Methinks you need to rest those eyes for a while. Happy PPF, Annette x Hope you feel better soon, x

  5. I would've thought these are Manga girls. Or are Magic girls also Manga girls? I think I know even less of these Japanese characters ;-)
Whatever they are, they're looking good! Hope you'll be feeling better soon!

  6. Firstly - totally bizarre but for the last month I've had a whooshing ringing noise in my ears that's been making me dizzy and upsetting my balance - I went to the doctor and he thinks I have tinnitus and gave me tablets to counteract the dizzyness and nausea plus ear drops which has the side effect of - ringing in the ears!! I didn't have really bad vertigo but enough to make me take Monday and Tuesday off work as well so I can sympathise with you.

Congrats on your sale - yay!

I don't like japanese/chinese manga art or whatever it's called at all - those cartoons from there just annoy me but these are cute girls you've drawn all the same!

  10. Natasha May, first let me say I am sorry you've had the vertigo stuff. I've never had it but some of my friends have. They say it's awful. You did fantastic on the manga art and I appreciate the lovely art work even though I'm not a fan of such. As for word verification, it stinks. Yesterday I put in about 10 different ones for this one blog and never did succeed. So I think I'm going to make a list of blogs with W. V. and not go there any more. It's just too frustrating for a well person. I can't imagine trying to prove you're not a robot when you feel bad.

  20. Such a nice group of interesting women you have painted!!! Hope the dizzies go away soon, and what a deal is that having a medication with the side effects being the same as the symptom you want it to treat? Craziness. HPPF.

  21. I hope you are feeling better. 37 trading cards in a week??? Stunning work. Oh my gosh. You must get a lot of happy mail.

And...to answer your question on my blog, we found good homes for all the puppies (though I still cried a tonne of tears), and kept one. The dog in the photos is the puppy we kept. :)

  28. How silly- meds for vertigo that can give you vertigo! Ridiculous. Hope it will soon be better. Sometimes when I spend too long beinding over my desk painting or drawing I get dizzy and a very sore neck- and 37cards is a huge amount. Take care.

  29. Beautiful girls as always :)Wish you a speedy recovery !

  30. Vertigo is nasty--I hope it's all better!

Your magic girls are terrific! I'll have to ask my kids what their names are :)

I hate word verification, too--sometimes I have trouble getting it right, and I don't have vertigo, just normal 48-year-old muddled brain!

  31. Love your girls Natasha, they are so cute.

  32. Ah man! Being dizzy and nauseated has got to be the worst! My Dad got it....the Doc said it was a mineral deposit in the ear that broke loose ( I guess mineral deposits are common) and it rattling around in the canal was giving him the vertigo....
Doc said it could possibly be reabsorbed, but his brain would most likely equalize on its own in a few days to a week....and it did!

    Hope yours goes away....now!
