Books and Fairy Tales

Wow! People seriously!!

Why didn't anyone tell me to get Kindle for PC's from Amazon? They have FREE Kindle books. Like FREE! Like LOTS of them.

You might not see me for a while because of that. I had to stop myself from downloading every single book. :)))

No, I did filter them. Some are just short stories like 30-60 pages. Those are not worth reading. And they did have to have a catchy title and intriguing book cover.

I know. I know. Don't judge the book by its covers but you have to start somewhere. :)

This is actually a great way to find out if you want to bother with the whole series. They are usually volume 1 of the series and then you can figure out if you want to buy the rest. But not even that. If you're patient they might have a promo sale or even let you have them for free.

I did see somewhere that some books are free on Fridays. Different books each Friday. I just can't remember where I saw that.

Can you tell from which Fairy tales are the ATC's above? :) Can you believe tomorrow is September??

Linking to Paint Party Friday.

I haven't tried Kindle... I'm a bit traditional when it comes to books...

  6. Well, thre's Alice and Cinderella and Hansel & Gretal and the princess and the frog!! Lovely!

On kindle, authors of 'regular books' can post them for free for 5 days every 90 days. Some authors do this to increase their reviews. So it's worth checking the lists every few days to see what's new. I've got some great ones that way. You don't have to write a review, but of course it's nice to help out the author.

  26. September?! Me too, I'm still in shock. LOVE your art today - you could easily be an illustrator for Children's books. Kindle? Who knew. I don't have one. Have fun finding the books you love. xoDonna

  27. I love seeing your style applied to characters we all feel we know so well.

The kindle library is great, there are a lot of classic art books available too, either free or dirt cheap. It's great having an endless supply of reading material in that one small device.

  29. Love the ACEOs. . . of course I can tell which fairy tales, :) Adorable. I love doing the ACEO's but I do mine with prismacolor pencils. I've been downloading the freebies to my iPad since my girlfriend, a writer, told me about them. Twitter people let us know when the free ones are available too. Blessings, Janet
