Please send me your snail address via e-mail and I'll send this girly on her way to you. Thank you everyone for entering the drawing and for all your sweet comments.
And I'd like to thank my blog followers (over 400 now) and my FB fans (almost 600) for all the love and support. Thanks so much for all the commenting and "liking". :) I deeply appreciate it!
I thought I might share with you how this painting looked like in the ugly stages. :)) I'm not that fond of her but that's why I took up this 29 Faces challenge to get comfortable with portraits and improve over all.

ReplyDeleteCongrats to Shay! I like the girl at the blue stage, too! Valerie
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Shay...and you so deserve all the "likes" Natasha :D XXX
ReplyDeleteWhy do you not like her??? I love this face!
ReplyDelete..and big congratulations to Shay!
I love seeing the image in its earlier state!
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats to Shay!
I dig the alien in the ugly stages I guess that is how the face gets its amazing depth.
ReplyDeleteInteresting to see the different stages. I think she looks amazing.
ReplyDeleteI also start with a blue underpainting. I quite like this stage because I think the hardest part is getting everthing in the right place. It's also a great guideline for the shading, which I have to say you have done a great job with. This girl is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteYou've transformed her and made her look beautiful and expressive and I appreciate you sharing the beginning photo. The underpainting really helps. She's come alive in the final painting!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Shay!!
congrats to the winner, good to see the before, but not ugly to me.
ReplyDeleteWow such a transformation from blue to the final results. Natasha you do wonderful work.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winner. Lucky Shay!

Beautiful painting! Happy blogaversary quite an accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteI really like her! I'm on my ipad outside while my son plays and there is too much of a glare to see the details. I need to check her out again inside. Her expression is "satisfied"
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Shay! It's a lovely painting Natasha. :-)
ReplyDeleteShe turned out really great in the end! I guess that's why we should never give up! Patsy from
