I have finally done it! :) I have prints for sale in my Etsy shop. :) I've been talking about selling prints of my art work before but it is only now that I came about buying a printer because the photo printer shop that I tested out didn't get the colors of my artwork right so I gave up on them.
I'm really pleased with the prints my new printer (Canon MG 5150) is making. I love the colors and glossy paper that I use is amazing. (Black Penny - fine art print available on Etsy)
I'm starting with this one and then I'll be adding new prints as I get to test them with my printer. Sadly I found out that my printer does not like the Heart Penny from my OWOH giveaway cause it adds red to her and she looks awful. I'll have to work on that one. If anyone has a clue why there is too much red color in the green, please share it with me. I'm clueless.
I had this idea last year but never came around to finishing it. She only had two cats then. :) I had to squeeze the dog in there. :) I really tried to portrait the pets as close to their real life colors and markings as I could. I think she'll recognize them. :)
The background is my usual tissue paper but then I decided I will spray paint it with stencils. There is a lot of oil pastels as well. I guess I was under Pam Carriker workshop's influence. :)
This OWOH event was a lot of fun. There were 871 participants and I visited them/you all. :) I got to meet so many wonderful bloggers and even added some to my google reader.
This is supposed to be the 5th final year of the OWOH event but Lisa has a surprise. Next year she will organize a similar event called Our World Our Art that will have a few changes. If you want to find out more click HERE.
Now to my OWOH giveaway. :) I'm so happy that so many of you entered my giveaway and I am really thankful for all your beautiful comments. I had to delete some duplicate comments and a couple of anonymous ones so there were 439 entries in the end.
Please keep in mind that there are 3 pages of comments and each page has 200 numbered comments starting with a number 1. So when you look at page 2, the first comment is numbered with 1 even though it is 201st. It's a Blogger thing. I hope it's not too confusing. :)
So, not to bore you any further. :) Here is the winner selected by random.org.
And this is her saying:
CONGRATULATIONS! I'll be sending you an e-mail soon to get your address.
Yes, this one is just for me. I have to still figure out where I'm gonna hang it. Do I frame it? I was thinking of putting an empty frame on the wall and then hang the canvas in the middle. That way I could exchange the paintings when I get bored of them? What do you think? How do you hang your paintings?
P.S. And I have another painting ready to show but since certain someone who is reading my blog didn't invite me to her birthday she's not getting it. :)) If you want a birthday gift from me you need to feed me cake. Are you getting this certain someone?!" :)))
