You wanna know why? Cause I've been watching Total Alignment videos from Connie over at Dirty Footprints Studio. :) It's a free class so there's really nothing stopping you to go over there and give it a try.
As you can see, there's really no room on my desk so my easel is usually on the floor. But Connie says you have to paint standing up so the easel landed on my desk. The rest is just my usual mess. Paints and some ATC's in progress.
Charlie the Cat is not in the photo this time. He is actually under my desk sleeping on a piece of paper. Seriously, the cat has comfy chairs, two couches and two dog beds to sleep on and he chooses a piece of paper that was dropped accidentally. Now I don't have the heart to pick up that bloody paper and take away his bed. :) I had to take a photo of him to prove it.
Oh, look. You get to see what I hide under the desk as well. :)
Go check out WOYWW to see what others are hiding. :)

What a fab owl and a very happy cat!
ReplyDeleteI also have a Dutch pretties parcel giveaway on my blog today if you fancy some colour!
Thanks for sharing your WOYWW desk today,
Sarah at 3
That poor cat looks so badly treated!! The rest of the working space looks sort of normal! Valerie
ReplyDeleteFab canvas there - I am going to an art class in September to create a canvas I so cant wait! - love your busy desk and cat too! thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYour canvas is bright and beautiful, I like it! Charlie the Cat picks his place to sleep to cause most inconvenience possibly? That's what my cats do...!!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Silly Cat! Love the canvas though. The colors are so vibrant! I bet that it is even more spectacular in person! Thanks for sharing your WOYWW (and what is under it!) -Amanda
ReplyDeletegreat looking desk. Love the canvas. My cats will do the same thing about not choosing the comfy chair or bed but a hard piece of paper. One loves to sleep in a paper grocery bag on the floor! Thanks for sharing. Vickie
ReplyDeleteSometimes they just want to be near us....in the most strange of ways...haha!
ReplyDeleteMess = Creativity at work :)
I knew it, my dog was a cat in a previous life! She does exactly the same thing, whether it is a piece of paper on the floor, or on the newspaper, preferably when I am reading it LOL
ReplyDeleteLove your painting and I watched the TA videos and they look awesome. I want to paint fearless too! I think I will take her advice and buy a mixed media journal XL, the fearless might be easier if I don't feel like ruining expensive canvases ;-)
Thanks for sharing your space this week and I hope the rest of your week goes well!
ReplyDeleteI was watching her videos too--so fun!
ReplyDeleteI love where Charlie decided to nap. I remember when my brother and I used to play board games on the floor--well you can guess where our enormous cat decided to rest
:)
oh so cute!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous art and beautiful cat!! A gorgeous combo! Love the easel too..

Nice and happy cat. Just can not stop smiling when i see your painting.
ReplyDeleteGreetings marjolein
I had help from my furry friend BoJangles too this morning. He was helping me keep the window ledge next to my desk clear by lying flat out on it. Lol!
ReplyDeleteYou can just see him if you look closly.
Have a great and Happy Crafting!

ReplyDeleteWhat a cute kitty! He just wants to be near you ;) Thanks for the link, I'm going to try fearless painting too! your painting is looking very cool!

Amazing how cats and children always want to sit or lie on the piece of paper you need isn't it?
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW
Very bright and cheerful canvas. Cats eh? At least with a dog you know where you are, but cats have a mind all of their own!

And how did you find standing up to paint? I can't craft standing up, so I wonder if it helped or not! Love the owl though he's great. The cat, the piece of paper - well, it's typical even if infuriatingly weird!!
ReplyDeleteLove the cat on your easel and the cat under your desk. The one on your easel will probably be less trouble, no doubt!

Cats will always sit where you dont want them to ..its part of their nature....and we love them for it. Charlie is beautiful ..I have never seen a pure white feline.
ReplyDeletesuch a pretty kitty, art and white friend.
ReplyDeletei have never painted standing up, I shall have to give it a try. actually I have never used an easel.
Hey there Nat,
ReplyDeleteI'm yet to watch her videos, but plan to when I find the time. Cute little owl. I think you need a cleaner. he he he. I should talk. My studio is a complete mess at the moment and I'm painting in the garage. =D
thanks for the glimpse. Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI'm on my way over to have a boo at the class you mention. Have fun! 'Poor Kitty!". Donna
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to the class! Great post, love the kitty picture.
ReplyDeleteGreat post - Charlie is gorgeous. We had an all white cat many years ago and she was found to be deaf. Didn't stop her from doing all the things a cat does to perfection :) Elizabeth x #60
ReplyDeleteI am SO glad you posted the link to the Total Alignment. I started it today and had so much fun! I was amazed at the process. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
