Gluing bits and pieces

On this Wednesday there is some journaling on my "desk". Ok, by now you must know my "workdesk" moves around. :)

Yesterday I was trying out some Teesha Moore style of journaling. Collaging is not really my type of thing but I made an effort. The thing with cutting out stuff from the magazines is that you end up with little bits and pieces everywhere. And I mean everywhere! And once you start gluing, those bits and pieces end up glued everywhere. Is this how it always goes or am I just messy? I mean, I've got stuff stuck to my pants!

Anyways my desk was full of cut out pieces of magazines and other stuff so I used my trusting paint box as a surfface to work on. This is how I left it before I went to bed.

You can go over to WOYWW to snoop around some other desks around the globe.

  3. LOL! That is too funny about all the pieces. I have seen those types of collages before. They are really neat, but I always figure that those people have a lot more patience or luck than I...and probably less kids! What you have done looks fabulous. Seriously. Thanks for sharing your Wednesday -Amanda

  5. You say that it's not really your thing, but your pages look great.
Did you enjoy creating them? If yes, then the mess was worth it.

  6. You need to do this more--these are very cool--both pages.
(right now as I write this, the floor where I'm sitting is covered in bits and pieces of paper...but they're easier to clean up than spilled paints :)

  8. Thanks for visiting my desk over in South Africa! I use all my Tim inks, paints and dies and distress stuff, it is the metal stuff, knobs and stickers that I hoard! LOL! So thankfully they won't dry out or go off! i am just precious about what project I put them on. I feel that a tag is a bit wasteful, so I like to use them on a canvas or an item like a tray or tin or box...

  12. Your pages are way cool and the glue and bits are just part of the process. It's worth it when you produce good stuff like that.

  18. pfff. glue. Natasha, you are far from alone. I can't glue anything without having little gluey bits stuck to me. I have to tie my hair back back back when i am working or i will have paint and glue in it. Don't even get me Started on my pants...

    xx,

    oh.
in answer to your question on my blog:
    1. stop doing shit that i don't want to
    2. stop thinking that there are all of these 'rules' when really i am just imposing them on myself.
    3. follow my whims

  21. I'm not a glue and stick person either. Not that I get in a mess like my friend did once when she was teaching. Should have been teaching but was sneaking in making some 'glued string to yoghurt pot' plant pots. The Head walked in and she hastily thrust her work below her desk. When he went out she couldn't unglue the pot from her dress. Take care.
