What's on my work desk

I have no artwork to show you yet, so I decided to share with you my "work desk". :) It's actually my floor. I have my studio but rarely hang out in there. It's mostly just storage for my art stuff.

My favorite place to paint is in front of my computer. Basically because I get inspired when surfing on the net. I have a very comfortable lounge chair and I tend to do everything sitting in it. :) And because I'm lazy and don't feel like going upstairs I brought all the essentials to my computer desk. Ok, it's not an actual computer desk because I haven't bought one yet. My monitor is on a dresser, my keyboard is on a small Ikea table and I have another small round glass table for my art stuff.

So, when my canvas gets too big for my lap I move to the floor. Here you can see I'm filming myself painting for the first time. If I manage to put together an actual video, you'll see it in a Fridays post.

Thanks for stopping by. This is my first WOYWW post. :) Go check out the other participants and don't forget about my GIVEAWAY. I'll be announcing the winner on Saturday. :)

  8. Couldn't manage top craft on the floor - would never get up again. Your art work is lovely . Afraid my art work is using stuff someone else has produced i.e. stamps. Never got good at art - creativity yes , art no.
    thanks for visiting

  10. Ya see ... that is where I am going wrong ... I need to use my craft room as a storeroom and craft in another room ... I wonder what John will think of that idea :0)

  16. I love your paintings! I'm a bit like you, although I now have two desks in my house to write at, I almost always end up either tucked up in bed or on the sofa with my laptop balanced on my lap. Thanks for sharing :)

  22. If the floor works for you then go for it, it's just another surface to create on. I love the internet and blog hopping but can easily spend too much time doing that and then not make anything!

  23. How lovely to see you joining in with your first WOYWW Natasha, let’s hope it’s the first of many visits.
    Your ‘desk’ looks very interesting.
I would love to be able to paint but it’s not something I’m very good at unfortunately so I’ll stick to my cross stitching, card making and scrapbooking.
I look forward to seeing you film when it’s finished.

    Happy WOYWW!

  26. I think it's interesting that you create in front of your computer - I wouldn't have enough space there! However, I understand that you find inspiration while surfing the net.

  29. Hello Natasha, If I got down on the floor to craft I'd need help to get up again - and my knees couldn't take the strain :( Can't paint myself but I really enjoyed watching the video of you in action. Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving your comment - it's much appreciated. Have a great weekend. Elizabeth x #62
