And then I turned it into this one? But it was bugging me all the time. I just couldn't bring myself to finish it. I started some layers but ended up with a mess.

Remember ink blots?
Remember how we used to do ink blots when we were younger? Well this Supernova lesson was sort of about that but much more. I had to help my "ink blots" a bit; they wouldn't smudge on their own. :) Well maybe because I didn't use ink but Julie didn't either and hers turned out fabulous.

Monoprinting
Here are my promised monoprinting pages. My favorite lesson at Supernova on-line class. :) It amazes me how something so easy can give such an effect.

I tried some gut art and this is what I came up with. :) It's just an outline. I don't know if I'll leave it like this or color it in.

I see that GUT ART is something a few people know about so I'm posting a link to a great artist Mystele and you can check out what gut art is all about.

Work in progres
I'm trying out some GUT art (not pull art, sorry about that :) ). I tried it first with the monoprint journal pages and loved it. I'm showing you that next time.:)
This is my second attempt. I already sketched it. You can see the dog on the right side of the book and some tree trunks at the top of the page. And of course the lady on the left.:)

Before it looked like this:

I couldn't find anything to pull out so I changed it completely. :)

Lesson 4
Backgrounds for journal pages from lesson 4. I've done some journaling since I've taken these pictures but I don't think I'll be showing you that. I have some privacy issues. :)

Sonja's picture
I made this one for Sonja. :)

And because it's pink it's perfect for Mixed Media Monday.

Supernova Journal Pages
I mentioned some time ago that I'm taking Julie Prichard's Supernova on-line class. In part 1 Julie showed us how to make a book. I made the easiest one so far, the skinny book. :)
And in part 2 she's showing us techniques for journal pages. I'm not that good at journaling but I have the backgrounds all done. Here are a few.

I got some boxes
I made a couple of boxes Kelly Rae style. I gave away both of them so I hope the owners are enjoying them. :)

Full spread
I forgot to show you the full spread last time. :)
Pink one is done in a Moleskine sketchbook.

Blue is done in an altered book that I started some time ago but still has some pages left to work on. I worked a lot with pastels here and it was all tacky to the touch so I had to spray it with a fixative.
