Be yourself, Be a Star

I felt a bit playful and thought I'd do Les Petit Dolls since I haven't done any for a long time.
She is a Star isn't she? :)

Mixed Media Monday has a "Star" theme this week. And Saturday's Workout want to see some Journal pages.

Live Life Inspired

Not much to say today. It's hot and I'm not in the mood.

Passionate Imaginings

Another page in my altered book project. I took inspiration from Pam Carriker and her painting instructions in one of the Paper Cloth Scissors issue.

Passionate Imaginings is my style statement. Have you heard of the book Style Statement? I must admit that I bought it on a whim. I started reading it and really didn't like the beginning stories. Why would I want to read about unknown people's style statements? Then I came to the part with exercises. That was some good soul searching. When I finished the book I ended up with two words that explain me. Yes, me. :)

Some close ups.

The good thing about my calligraphy pen is that you can correct spelling mistakes with just a wet brush. How cool is that?! :)

I got this beautiful award from a lovely artist Nicola. Thank you again for thinking of me and visiting my blog.:)

I'm also entering this altered book page in Created by Hand Challenge.

Mixed Media Blue Cat

Here it is. Another Blue Cat. :) I used an old canvas board background from Layer Love class that I didn't really like and decided to do a complete makeover. :) I think I'll have to name this cat. :)

And the theme at Created by Hand Challenge is animals, so this painting is perfect for the challenge. :)

The Final Wrecking

This is my final wrecking of this journal. I must admit I have not yet done all the pages but I find it ok just as it is. The ones that are left unwrecked are the ones that I don't find inspiration in. And I don't want to do something just because I have to or somebody told me to. Maybe I'll find inspiration in the future and finish it off.

I cheated on this one. I don't get much mail apart from bills, so I went to my mother's house and robbed her of her stamps. :)

It could be worse or a whole lot better. It's up to you.

Ok, this one took a while and I had help from the internet. :)

Another cheat.:) I don't have magazines so I ripped this page from one of my moms. Now I really wanted to show you all what's on the other side (a bunch of hunky half naked man) :):) but as it happens I glued the wrong side. And since this is one of those tabloid magazines I really didn't have any word to circle that I liked.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check how others are wrecking their journals.
