4th lesson

4th lesson from Suzi Blu's on-line workshop The Goddes and The Poet. She is not finished yet. I need to fix the eyes some more and do some more work below the face.

Look at my girls

Aren't they cute? :) They are not as shabby as Suzi would want them to be but I like them this way.

Spill it!

You gotta know by now that I'm addicted to on-line workshops! :) Here is one from Carmen Torbus called Spill it! She is offering it for only 43 $ but you have a chance to win it for free as well.

Here is what Carmen said about her workshop:
"We're going to do background techniques, texture techniques, image transfers and talk about the thought process that goes into making your individual choice as to what you SPILL on the canvas. This workshop will arm you with the tools you need to begin putting your own spin on your art. A jump start towards your own creative style! From the colors you choose to the images or words you might incorporate, it's all in there!"

Check out her video.

Working on the faces

I like sharing my progress with you, so I hope you won't get bored looking at the same faces again and again. :)

She is so cute now, don't you think? I'm so proud of how I fixed her. :)

Still my favorite.

I can't wait to do her hair. She's gonna be amazing.

Work in progress

My first art project in my new Moleskine. :)I got it from The Book where they offer free shipping. I like it so far 'cause pages are a bit off white and it's a nice starting color for the skin. And paper is a bit thicker so it can handle acrylic color as well.

I did some new faces but I forgot to take a picture of them before I added color. So here they are.

This one I overdid the shading around the eyes. I'll have to fix that later with acrylic color.

This one is my favorite so far. :)

Another face

This is a face I did yesterday evening. I actually sticked to the ruler this time and I like it much more then the previous.

Drawing faces

I'm taking another Suzi Blu on-line class. This time The Goddes and The Poet. I'm learning to draw more realistic faces and dimentional shading of the face. This is my first attempt.

I don't like the whole face. Eyes are not to my taste. And don't even look at the hair. :)

But I like the nose and the mouth.
